The Cíes Islands have been part of the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia since 2002.

[ LA BARCA DEL PEREGRINO ® ]

ETAPA 1 / Pontevedra →Armenteira 23km

La variante forma parte del Camino Portugués y comienza en Pontevedra, en la zona de Alba a escasos dos kilómetros del centro. Atraviesa la Ciudad de Poio y se dirige a Combarro, un pintoresco pueblo pesquero donde sus calles empedradas y sus más de 30 horres, que hacen de él un lugar de gran belleza no dejaran indiferente a nadie.

La primera etapa concluye en Armenteira un pueblo montañés que alberga el Monasterio de Armenteira, de gran interés que data de 1162, y ofrece hospedería bajo disponibilidad a los peregrinos. Las Hermanas del monasterio ofrecen vísperas y bendición al Peregrino a las 19:00.

ETAPA 2 - Armenteira→Vilanova de Arousa 24 km

La segunda etapa transcurre desde Armenteira a Vilanova en un trayecto de baja dificultad. Desde Armenteira a Pontearnelas el Peregrino caminará por una de las Rutas más hermosas de la Rías Baixas: “Ruta da Pedra e da Auga” un paraje natural único que transcurre por un sendero al borde de un riachuelo, rodeado de gran vegetación, arboles centenario, antiguos molinos…en un enclave mágico.

Tras esta ruta el peregrino pasa por Ribadumia para terminar la jornada en Vilanova de Arousa, un pueblo costero donde sus playas y gastronomía harán las delicias de todos los peregrinos.

ETAPA 2 - Armenteira→Vilanova de Arousa 24 km

Tras esta ruta el peregrino pasa por Ribadumia para terminar la jornada en Vilanova de Arousa, un pueblo costero donde sus playas y gastronomía harán las delicias de todos los peregrinos.

ETAPA 3 - Vilanova de Arousa→Pontecesures

La última etapa la concluye La Traslatio. Embarcaremos en Vilanova de Arousa para hacer la Ruta Marítima navegando la ria de Arosa y remontando el Río Ulla hasta llegar a Pontecesures, en un maravilloso paseo de aproximadamente una hora de duración.

Una vez llegados a Padrón, finaliza la Variante Espiritual que se une con el Camino Portugués tradicional, quedando ya tan solo 25 km para llegar a Santiago de Compostela.
