It is one of the most picturesque stretches towards Santiago de Compostela. It is part of the Portuguese Way and is made up of three stages. It began in 2011, and is of great interest as it unites incredible beauty and a unique history: The traslatio, the origin of all paths.

As recorded in the Calixtine Code, the remains of the body of the Apostle Santiago, accompanied by his two disciples, entered the Ria de Arousa aboard a stone boat.

On this journey you will visit the only Vía Crucis Maritime Fluvial that honors the Apostle Santiago but, also the Torres del Oeste in Catoira, with the Viking drakkar, the Island of Cortegada (Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia) and an obligatory stop in a punt where we will learn about mussel cultivation.
Once in Ribeira, you can do a stage of The Way of Saint James A Orixe, which accompanies by land the itinerary made by the stone boat with the Remains of the Apostle.
